Featuring professional dancers from the company and inmates from Brindisi Correctional Facility, ORME reflects on major and minor events in recent history that left lasting marks on us all, from the “Tuca Tuca” dance and the pandemic to the 1982 World Cup, 9/11, sea tragedies, the moon landing, and women’s suffrage. Through these and other moments, ORME narrates the significance of freedom in love and identity, the struggle for civil rights, the shattered dreams of children, racial persecution, and the fear of life and death. These events intersect with everyday life, filled with worries and lighthearted moments that keep us smiling and hopeful.
It is a collective journey into stories that have shaped the world and humanity, offering timeless lessons.
Through ORME, the social and professional inclusion project continues, as inmates, like the professional dancers, will receive regular compensation for the final rehearsal period and performance days.
